Class Information

Should you have an incarcerated loved one that would like to take the program, there is no charge. Women who are incarcerated in Lebanon County Correctional Facility may register for the program by talking to their counselor. Sessions are offered in the jail on a weekly basis. Participants must attend all eight core sessions in order to receive a completion certificate.

The cost for each session is $5, if the attendee is registering for the community programs.  Attendees will be required to pay in order to receive credit for attending the session. If there are special circumstances regarding the ability of a participant to pay the class fee, this can be addressed on a case by case basis.

General rules of the group are discussed at the first session. A completion certificate is given to each group member who completes all of the group sessions. Participants are asked to attend regularly, participate in discussions and exercises, and abstain from substance abuse while participating in the program.

Eight-week sessions will be scheduled based on the number of registrations received and will typically be held in the evening. Group size is limited to 6-10 participants and the program will be held in Lebanon. The role of the group facilitator is to promote pro-social change by helping each woman recognize her unique strengths and skills. Women are held accountable and are encouraged to take an honest look at how their own choices are impacting their lives.

To make a referral to the program, please contact 717-273-9328 and ask to speak to a F.O.R.E. representative. Individuals may register themselves by calling the above number or may be referred by another community organization.
